The Bloomfield Business Association is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to strengthen and maintain the business district by building participation among businesses and the community, enhancing the district’s image and physical appearance and promoting the unique and ethnic characteristics of Bloomfield.

The BBA was first organized in 1947 and later incorporated as a Pennsylvania non-profit in 1992. It operates with bylaws and an elected board of 15–25 directors, staggered in two-year terms. Board meetings are conducted on the first Wednesday of each month.
Committees of the BBA include: Executive/Organization, Economic Restructuring, Promotion, Design/Environment and Festival.

- West Penn Hospital Business of the Month Program - Offered exclusively to members of the Bloomfield Business Association. Each month, two business, one restaurant, and one other business will be featured on two bulletin boards in West Penn Hospital, the cafeteria, and the hallway leading to the garage. Additionally, each business will have a small write up in West Penn’s Employee newsletter. The featured business will supply pictures and information to be posted for the entire month. This is a great way to advertise your business, so please offer the employees some type of discount during this month.
