I'm a new resident of Bloomfield (new to Pittsburgh entirely, actually) and I LOVE the farmer's market. It's a great idea, and a wonderful amenity for residents. When can we expect it to return in the Spring? I'll be marking my calendar...

Yes, it was a little whiney and shouldn't have been.

I would like to credit also an excellent public servant for helping to make this happen: Eric Van. An employee of City Parks, Eric has been a proactive supporter of farmers markets for as long as I have known him. That includes the one I enjoy on the Northside--the one that inspired me to approach him last summer about bringing one to Bloomfield. To me he is an excellent communicator and public servant.

May the Bloomfield market become a great asset for the residents and businesses of Bloomfield.

Currently, the BBA does not have an email newsletter, but we are considering adding an email subscription service to the website. This will be similar to our RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed, but will email new articles directly to subscribers.

Gee, I didn't realize Fr. Dinello initiated the farmers market project. I could have sworn that was my initiative with City Parks.

Either way, I'm glad it's happening and hope it brings traffic and business to the district.
