Smoke Detector Program

The Mayor’s Office has announced that city residents can request a free smoke detector to be installed in their home, free of charge, by calling 311. 311 will send the information to the appropriate zone and have a firefighter come to the residence. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes. All city homeowners and renters are eligible for the program. The smoke detectors contain lithium batteries that will last at least 10 years. More »

ART IN BLOOMFIELD

The BBA was selected by the Sprout Fund to produce a mural on the Cedarville side of the Bloomfield Drug Store. A committee consisting of local businessmen and community members is in place to design the mural. Painting on the mural will begin in July, starting with a kick-off block party on July 5, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 on Cedarville and Liberty, the sight of the mural. Look for the completed mural to be unveiled during “Little Italy Days” Festival on September 28, 29 and 30. More »

FARMERS MARKET TO START ON JUNE 28, 2007

June 28 will be the first evening of the 2007 Farmers Market. The market will be from 3:00 to 7:00 on Thursdays through Thanksgiving. The market will be located in the parking lot of the Immaculate Conception Church next to the Public Parking Authority. More »
